Taça do Mundo de Kayaksurf 2010 / Dois portugueses no TOP!

Graças ao excelente trabalho de John Watson - responsável pela elaboração do ranking - aqui ficam os resultados da Taça do Mundo de Kayaksurf 2010. A competição decorre nos anos em que não temos Campeonato do Mundo e este ano contaram as provas da Austrália, Santa Cruz (US West), Mundaka (Euskadi), Ocean Spirit (Portugal) e US Nationals em Outer Banks, USA East.

Para gáudio nacional, vemos o Miguel Carvalho a vencer na classe Junior HP e André Pinto em segundo (logo após Edu Etxeberria) na classe Open HP. Mais em baixo o LINK para consultar todo o ranking elaborado sobre a Taça do Mundo. Este ano, contou com a participação de 12 mulheres, 13 Juniores e 96 atletas em Open HP. Impressionante a evolução que o kayaksurf nacional teve nestes últimos anos... parabéns a todos!

The event takes place in the years we don't have the World Championship. Below, the first results and then, check the link for the FULL ranking. This year we had 12 Women, 13 Juniors and 96 on the Open HP. Congratulations for all!

SURFKAYAK WORLD CUP / RESULTS

The surf kayak World Championships take place every other year, in odd-numbered years. 2009 was in Portugal, 2011 will be at Outer Banks, North Carolina, US East coast.

In 2006 a new format was introduced, to provide a worldwide contest in the years between World Championships. Each surfer's best two results from 5 or 6 events worldwide enabled people to qualify for a World Cup Finals event. The World Cup Finals were held in Portugal in 2006 and in France 2008.

Since no Finals event was organised for 2010, it was agreed that the World Cup winner 2010 should be determined by their best two results at the series of worldwide events. World Cup ranking events 2010 were held in Australia, Santa Cruz (US West), Mundaka (Euskadi), Ocean Spirit (Portugal), and at the US Nationals at Outer Banks, US East. To be WC ranking, the events were major contests publicised as open to all nationalities.
