Corin King tem 16 anos e iniciou-se no kayaksurf com 12. Pertence a uma das melhores escolas de formação mundiais de kayaksurf (juntamente com a do País Basco): Irlanda do Norte. Dessie McGlinchey já nos tinha dito para estarmos atentos a este rapaz e este ano, em Mundaka, confirmou-se o surf agressivo e talentoso de Corin ao vencer em casa dos bascos a classe HP júnior. Estas fotos e vídeo servem bem para ilustrar o perfil que apresentamos de mais um craque formado na escola norte-irlandesa. Corin, as 16 anos, já conseguiu captar os patrocínios da Gath e da Mega. Muito bom. Humilde e grande surfista - como o Dessie, seu treinador, o descreve - tem tudo para ser um dos melhores do mundo.

Let's meet Corin King. He won this year in Mundaka (HP Junior) and sure we're going to ear more good news from him in the near future. Corin is a great surfer capable of powerfull moves in the waves. He belongs to the Norther Ireland Squad (together with the Basque School, one of the worlds best surfkayaking schools) and these photos (and video) are a very good way to meet him. Note: he's only 16!!

Mundaka (amazing wave when it working), a spot on the North Coast which I surf sometimes with Andy and my young bro Jake. I love surfing Easky and a few spots in and around Silgo and Bundoran area.

Perspectives in kayaksurf:
Surfkayaking is the best bit of craic you can have in a boat! The speed u get from dropping down a steep wave or the weightlessness feeling you get from pulling a phat air! All kayakers should give it a go! There is nothing else like sitting out the back in a foreign country, sun beating down on you while you are wait on that big SET wave to arrive.
