Dessie McGlinchey, um dos nossos melhores colaboradores NEWS TEAM, escreve-nos sobre a 25ª edição do Santa Cruz Paddle Surf Festival que decorreu no passado fim de semana na Califórnia. Dessie McGlinchey, is one of our NEWS TEAM best collaborators. The paddlesurfer from Northern Ireland, was once more in California this year. He wrote for us all the report. RESULTADOS do Festival de Santa Cruz / Califórnia 2011

Galen Licht by Stormick / Like last year, Galen won the HP Class ;)

A vigésima quinta edição do Festival de Santa Cruz vai certamente ser recordada pelos acontecimentos inesperados. A trágica situação do Japão trouxe consequências para a costa Oeste californiana com receio de ondulações suspeitas e até... radioactivas. Depois, para agudizar a situação, as previsões de ondas até seis metros também não ajudaram no domingo. Como resultado, Dennis Judson cancelou a prova no domingo ficando os atletas com as classificações obtidas na sexta e sábado.

Em cima do momento, ficam as classificações enviadas por Stefano Bellotti - NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net - e as fotos de Bryon Dorr. Ao longo da semana, iremos publicar mais imagens e conclusões acerca do evento. Para já, permitam-nos dar os parabéns "pessoais" à nossa NEWS TEAM que esteve na Califórnia e que está presente no pódio em várias categorias!! São eles Steve Farthing, Dessie McGlinchey, Stefano Bellotti, Marc Woolward, Gabriele Dellacasa e Roberta Borsari. Parabéns a todos!!

This 25th edition of Santa Cruz Festival will be remembered for sure. First, due the tragic situation in Japan that could cause "suspected waves" in the west coast of California. Then, the forecast for sunday that provide huge waves till six meters... Dennis Judson had to publish this message on saturday - "Unfortunately due to extreme weather, tomorrow's heats have been canceled. All silent auctions, drawings, etc will be held at the Cocoanut Grove party tonight. Thanks to all who braved the weather Friday and Saturday!"

Now, after all this "troubles", the FINAL results are here! Stefano Bellotti , NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net, sent us the ranking and Bryon Dorr some photos. During this week, we'll publish more photos and conclusions about the event. Allow us to send a special congratulations for some kayaksurf.net NEWS TEAM members that were in California and reached great results! They are Steve Farthing, Dessie McGlinchey, Stefano Bellotti, Marc Woolward, Gabriele Dellacasa and Roberta Borsari. Also a special word for the entire organization of the Festival. We are certain that they made all efforts ​​to solve all the unexpected episodes ;)

É o Team Gravita Zero e Surfactivity em força na Califórnia. Já no ano passado a dupla Stefano Bellotti e Gabriele Dellacasa esteve no Festival de Kayaksurf de Santa Cruz e, este ano, lá estarão uma vez mais. Recorde-se que o Team Italia também esteve no Ocean Spirit 2010 onde espalharam simpatia e boa disposição. Boa viagem e aguardamos novidades!

Gravita Zero and Surfactivity will be in big style in California one more time! After the major success of last year's edition of Santa Cruz Kayaksurf Festival, Stefano Bellotti and Grabriele Dellacasa will go again till Santa Cruz.
