Se é certo que do freestyle já nos chegaram grandes craques do kayaksurf- Edu Etxeberria, Rusty Sage, Rui Calado, etc - também é bem verdade que muitos destes homens das "roscas" arriscam demais ;) Vejam o vídeo... foi um sucesso na nossa secção Facebook. Tiradas hoje de manhã com a Praia do Navio na mira. São as primeiras imagens que nos chegam de Santa Cruz na fase pré-evento. Já começaram as obras para a instalação da Aldeia Neptuno e, lá no alto, ficará como sempre a grandes estátua do rei dos oceanos. Está quase!

First photos from Santa Cruz (Torres Vedras, Portugal). They were taken this morning in Navio Beach, where all the event will run. For our sport side, we'll have there the national kayaksurf & waveski circuit and the World Waveski Surfing Titles. The works to build the Netune Village started this morning. In the top, it will be, like always, the Neptune statue. We're almost there!!

Brazil bids to organize World Waveski Surfing Titles 2013

Foi na sequência da entrevista "Short & Quick" que fizemos a Gilberto Alves que o atleta nos revelou a intenção. O Brasil vai apresentar formalmente a candidatura para a organização do próximo mundial de waveski (2013 ou 2015). A Confederação Brasileira de Canoagem assume assim a intenção. Sabemos que há mais países interessados no evento... vamos esperar pelas novidades! Entretanto, fica o link directo para a entrevista de Giba.

Foi a segunda inscrição a ser confirmada para o Mundial de Waveski 2011. Rees Duncan está inscrito no Open e Seniores e vai certamente dar espectáculo. Já o entrevistámos em 2009 quando venceu o Mundial nesse ano e, em breve, estará em Portugal. Ficam as imagens que nos enviou e que retratam uma sessão de treino em Coffs Harbour na passada semana... muito bom ;)

It was the second registration to be confirmed for the World Waveski Surfing Titles in Portugal. We already interviewed Rees when he won the World Title in 2009 and now, he will be among us pretty soon ;) Check these photos taken last week in a training session around Coffs Harbour. Very good!

The ESKA is proud to announce a partnership with Valley Kayaks for the upcoming 2011 World Championships of Surf Kayaking. The brand that is so well known for it’s broad range of composite and polyethylene sea kayaks is also a major player in the performance surf category.
