Mathieu Jonneaux e o seu Team da Mamgoz Productions a trabalhar em grande! Directinho de Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit, o primeiro vídeo com o "pré-evento". Tudo porque o início oficial do Mundial de Waveski vai ser amanhã entre as oito e as nove da manhã. As condições de hoje não permitiram o arranque da prova (muito vento). Enjoy the video!!

Mathieu Jonneaux and his great team from Mamgoz Productions in great work with the first video "pre-event" of these Waveski Worlds. The WWST Ocean Spirit will start tomorrow betweem 8 and 9 am (briefing at 8 am). For now, enjoy the GREAT video and let's wait for the others!!

A outra grande ausência no Mundial



Depois de falarmos sobre Mathieu Babarit, é incontornável não falarmos sobre Caroline Angibaud. Juntos, gerem a Octopus School e Caroline - já entrevistada por nós várias vezes - foi SÓ oito vezes campeão mundial de waveski. Tal como Matt, não vai poder estar no Mundial. As coisas vão ficar mais fáceis para a "women division"!

After we talk about Mathieu Babarit, it's unavoidable to speak about Caroline Angibaud. She was the first woman that we interviewed in kayaksurf.net (2004) and has an incredible curriculum: she was 8 times world champ, the record in the waveski world!!! The women division will miss her for sure. We're talking about the best performer from ever in this division. Easier life for the those who are competing around and, like Steve Farthing already says in one of his reports, there can be some surprises due her absence!

Brazil bids to organize World Waveski Surfing Titles 2013

Gilberto Filgueira deu-nos a entrevista e divulgou-nos em primeira mão que o Brasil é candidato à realização do próximo mundial de waveski (2013 ou 2015). Foi a segunda inscrição a ser confirmada para o Mundial de Waveski 2011. Rees Duncan está inscrito no Open e Seniores e vai certamente dar espectáculo. Já o entrevistámos em 2009 quando venceu o Mundial nesse ano e, em breve, estará em Portugal. Ficam as imagens que nos enviou e que retratam uma sessão de treino em Coffs Harbour na passada semana... muito bom ;)

It was the second registration to be confirmed for the World Waveski Surfing Titles in Portugal. We already interviewed Rees when he won the World Title in 2009 and now, he will be among us pretty soon ;) Check these photos taken last week in a training session around Coffs Harbour. Very good!

O cartaz do Circuito Nacional está quase aí, bem com as inscrições. Entretanto, fica o programa para a edição deste ano do Ocean. Para nós, começamos bem o fim de semana com o CNKW e depois, prolongamos a festa com o Mundial dos waves. Tudo com entradas à borla!! Muito bom!!

One more edition of the biggest worldwide wave sports event. This year, we'll have the National Circuit (kayaksurf & waveski) plus the Waveski Surfing Titles. Stefano Belotti, NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net e entusiasta do kayaksurf e waveski na Itália, confirmou a sua inscrição no Mundial 2011. O evento realiza-se no Ocean Spirit Festival de 8 a 14 de Agosto. Stefano faz parte da Watertech Team e equipa com um W-Guru. Lá estaremos Stefano!!

Stefano Bellotti, NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net and great enthusiast of kayaksurf & waveski in Italy, confirmed his registration for the Waveski Worlds. Our friend and great kayaksurf.net collaborator will be with us in Navio beach from 8th till 14th August in Ocean Spirit Festival. Stefano belongs to Watertech Team and surfs with a Guru Waveski.
