It's the most recent interview on kayaksurf.net. We met Hugues Termeau in Peniche (Portugal) and this waveski trainer is, above all, a very nice guy with a great sense of humor ;) Besides this, is an excellent raider and teacher. KAYAKSURF no Japão com Lenny Kelleher / kayaksurf.net presente!

Conhecemos Len Kelleher em 2007 no Mundial de Kayaksurf no País Basco quando o irlandês - com um surfkayak emprestado - ganha a classe IC numa surpreendente vitória sobre outros nomes bem mais consolidados nestas andanças. No ano passado, estivemos de novo com o craque no Mundial realizado no Ocean Spirit. Len, está agora a trabalhar no Japão e é por lá que surfa. Conta-nos que, de cada vez que vai à água com o seu Mega, mais parece um "alien" tal é a curiosidade despertada ;) Ficam as fotos enviadas pelo simpático irlandês com a particularidade de destacarem o segredo do seu surf agressivo e radical: os autocolantes kayaksurf.net ;)

We met Len in Basque Country Worlds in 2007 when he won the IC Class and became the World Champ of this class agaisn't strong names of our sport. Las year, he was also with us - even surfed together! - in Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit for the Worlds 2009. Now, Lenny is working in Japan and usually surfs in Sunabe Wall with his Mega. In is own words: "The name of the reef break is Sunabe Seawall. Sunabe is a surfing village in Okinawa. Lots and lots of surfers enjoy surfing at Sunabe, but I think I am the only one to surf this break in a Kayak. People are so amazed when they see a Kayak in the lineup...." - we imagine that Len!! In these photos we can see one of the secrets of this great irish surfkayaker.... the kayaksurf.net stickers!!! They give extra power ;) Thanks Lenny!!

ENTREVISTA COM O HOMEM FORTE DO DVD DO MOMENTO: INTERFERENCE



Tem imagens de Portugal, País Basco, Marrocos, EUA e Equador. Foi filmado e produzido durante aproximadamente três anos e está a impressionar tudo e todos. No próximo dia 20 de Março, irá ter a sua estreia oficial no Reino Unido pela mão de John Watson mas antes, reveja a entrevista que Joey Hall nos deu acerca desta autêntica odisseia.

Interference: A Kayak Surf Film is a DVD featuring surf kayaking trips through Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Southern North Carolina, and Ecuador - that's the mote of our (great) interview with Joey Hall. Below you can see the direct banner (english version available). Meanwhile, next March 20th, the "grand" premiere in UK!

Committed2 and Denzil Pearce, with the assistance of the venerable John Watson present the FIRST Interference: A Kayak Surf Film premiere in the UK.

The premiere is taking place at the Skern Lodge during the BCU Surf Fest on the 20th of March, 2010. Copies will be onsale from Committed2 Distribution.
Come out and support the BCU Surf Fest event. There will be a few more UK premieres to follow, but this is a great chance to see the film for free and participate in a fun event.

From the event press release:

Free entry to the UK Premiere film evening, at Skern Lodge, on the weekend of the BCU Surf Fest.
Arrive for 7pm bar open. Film runs 7.30 to 9.30pm, 20th March, 2010, with a short break, or feel free to refresh your glass anytime and watch from the bar.
The dvd will be available to buy your own copy on the night.

Make a weekend of it – the nearest surf beach is on our doorstep at Westward Ho! and Saunton, Woolacombe, Putsborough are within 30 mins.
B&B is £22; Dinner at 5.45pm B&B is £30; camp/van £4pp at Skern Lodge – must be booked in advance.

Depois de 5 internacionalizações em 2009, o Francisco reforça o seu currículo "internacional" no waveski. Para além do Meeting de Ribeira d'Ilhas e da FS Waveski School, as suas participações no estrangeiro já o levaram até à Austrália onde registou uma pioneira participação no Mundial da modalidade. É mais uma conversa com o craque dos waves que saiu foi igualment na revista FREESURF, promovida no oceanlook.com e publicada no 100surt.pt. Prestem bem atenção à primeira foto da entrevista... um must!!

Last year he competed in 5 waveski events out of Portugal: Ireland, France, Basque Country, Australia (Worlds) and Galiza. He's our waveski man in Portugal! Besides this competitive way, Francisco also organizes a Waveski Meeting in Ribeira d'Ilhas - ond of the best portuguese surf spots - and runs his waveski school.
