Dessie McGlinchey, NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net, sent us the suggestion. Elaine Alexander or Shooter as everyone knows her, is well on her way around Ireland on a solo trip around the island. According to Dessie - "Shooter has paddled at 3 worlds for us Ireland, Costa Rica and Basque Country. When she gets her journey completed she will be the first woman from NI to do the trip". Of course she will made it!!! All the best from Portugal and, on the end of the adventure, we want sone photos ;) Good luck Elaine!

Lendal is proud and delighted to renew Sponsorship with Dessie McGlinchey, Level 5 surf coach from Northern Ireland. We hope to work closely with Dessie to test and develop our blades and paddles to the optimum performance standard.

Dessie paddles both classes in comps and has achieved best results in the International Class but also enjoys paddling the short finned boat. Dessie is gained status as a Level 5 Surf Coach in 2003 and has been involved in coaching the Northern Ireland Surf Squad since 2002.

The squad has achieved some great results in the individual events at the highest levels. Team paddlers have achieved World, European, British and Irish titles in both Senior and Junior level since 2004.

Decorrerá de 25 a 31 deste mês em Portrush, Irlanda do Norte, e o evento abarca o British Open e os Home Internationals. It's the first report directly from Portrush with the collaboration of Geral Mc Gahey - NEWS TEAM kayaksurf.net: "All the teams are now in Portrush awaiting the swell for this years 2010 Home Internationals. England, Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland are in attendance with full squads. The draw took place tonight in the Playhouse, Portrush with help from the Mayor of Coleraine. The call has been made for all teams to be at Whiterocks beach, Portrush at 0800 hrs tomorrow."

Foi na passada semana algures na Irlanda do Norte num spot designado M. Quanto perguntámos a Pete Copp o porquê de tal designação, ele simplesmente nos disse que o spot era o M de... monstros. Pois. Ou seja, muita rocha, muito power e grandes ondas. Pete enviou-nos duas sequências magníficas com Chris Hobson - a que publicamos hoje - e outra com Phillip Watson (em breve). Grandes ondas e o surf inconfundível do craque da Irlanda do norte.

The spot is know as M... of "monsters". Powerfull waves and lots of rocks... not so good idea! Pete was certainly happy (and safer) shooting these photos ;) He sent us two great sequences: this one with Chris Hobson and a second one with Philip Watson (soon online). Great surf and great photos! Enjoy it ;)
