Passatempo RPF Kayaks na Penthouse deste mês


A revista Penthouse deste mês publicou um artigo dedicado ao kayaksurf que se estende por seis páginas (cool!!) e, na página 29, está o passatempo RPF Kayaks. Basta responder ao que é solicitado e pode aventurar-se a um fato de surf da marca ONDA no valor de 178 euros. Está nas bancas!!

Penthouse magazine (Portugal edition), published a great article about kayaksurf (six pages!!) and, on page 29, there is a pastime about RPF Kayaks brand. It's a simple question and, the best answer, will be awarded with a surf wetsuit (almost 180 euros). If yu have the chance, the magazine is on newsstands... but only in Portugal!

É um artigo que já vem sendo trabalhado em parceria com a Penthouse por parte do kayaksurf.net há vários meses. José Mascarenhas, o director da publicação, é ele próprio um amante e praticante de canoagem. A edição deste mês dedicou seis páginas ao kayaksurf e nas fotos temos vários artistas nossos conhecidos: Alejo Pacheco, Sam Davenport, Stefano Bellotti, Bruno Melo e Luís Vieira. Isto para não falar na foto central alusiva ao Ocean Spirit Festival onde surgem muito mais caras conhecidas!

Para além de tudo isto, a edição traz ainda um passatempo RPF Kayaks onde podem ganhar um fato de surf de ONDA no valor de 178 euros (passatempo página 29). É uma edição de luxo com pagaias e ondas pelo meio. Já está nas bancas!

It's an article written in partnership between kayaksurf.net and Penthouse Magazin (Portugal Edition). Six pages dedicated to our sport full of great photos. In these images, we can see some great surfers that are usually on kayaksurf.net: Alejo Pacheco, Stefano Bellotti, Sam Davenport, Bruno Melo and Luis Vieira. Besides these photos, we also have one that was taken in Ocen Spirit Festival with plenty of well known faces. It's onde more article signed by us to promote kayaksurf ;)

Figueira da Foz / Portugal / Surf City

A importância das modalidades de onda para a Cidade do Surf / Fórum dia 22 de Outubro



Numa iniciativa da Academia de Surf da Figueira da Foz (Surfing Figueira), vai decorrer no próximo dia 22 de Outubro no Centro de Artes e Espectáculos da cidade um Fórum subordinado ao surf e à importância das modalidades congéneres. Paulo Simões, kayaksurfista da velha guarda do kayaksurf.net, apresentará uma comunicação sobre a metodologia de treino para surf. Para o mesmo evento, estão convidados João Portugal (IPL) e Bruno Melo em representação da Associação Ocean Spirit. Fica o convite de mais uma iniciativa com o apoio kayaksurf.net ;)

The training surf methodology and the importance of this big turistic industry, is in discussion on this workshop. It will run in Figueira da Foz (Portugal Central West Coast), with some guests that are involved in the portuguese surf scene. kayaksurf.net supports this event and Paulo Simões, one of the guests, is a well known surfkayaker. Good idea!

CNKW 2010 / Last contest of Portuguese Circuit in Algarve

CNKW / IV Etapa decorrerá em Faro dias 23 e 24 de Outubro



A IV e última prova do Circuito Nacional de Kayaksurf e Waveski 2010 decorrerá em Faro paralelamente à Freesurf Session na mesma data. Francisco Figueira aceitou o desafio e a final deste ano será bem no sul do país ;) Recordamos que já se realizaram as etapas de S.Julião, Ocean Spirit e, para a semana, será na Figueira da Foz. A Figueira irá igualmente receber mais uma edição do Troféu RPF no próximo fim de semana, notícia que merecerá maior destaque futuramente.

The last contest of the Portuguese Kayaksurf & Waveski Circuit will be in Faro, Algarve (south coast). It will be inlcuded in the event Free Surf Session with other surf sports. Meanwhile, next weekend, the third contest will be in Figueira da Foz. Let's wait for the news!

PAULO LOPES / Great Media Exposure in one of the most widely read magazines in Portugal

Paulo Lopes, kayaksurfista figueirense, em grande destaque numa das revistas mais lidas no país! Muito bom!!

Paulo Lopes é da casa! O surfista da Figueira da Foz foi terceiro no II Campeonato Internacional de Kayaksurf de Peniche 2004, esteve connosco em Mundaka 2006, nesse ano vence a Prova de Peniche e, em 2007, venceu a classe freestyle na Praia Grande e sacou o segundo lugar em kayaksurf. Para além de tudo isto, esteve na génese do primeiro team do kayaksurf nacional - Mar Bravo - graças ao pioneirismo e grande empenho de Jorge Lopes (Olá Jorge!!) - o homem que trouxe a Mega para Portugal. Para fechar esta introdução, não podemos esquecer que o Paulo esteve igualmente connosco na criação e organização da Kayaksurf Session. Este ano, o Paulo não pôde estar connosco mas, e citando as palavras do próprio após ter visto o vídeo do João Vaz - "Para quem não esteve presente no dia, fica-se com mais pena ainda depois de ver o vídeo". Para quem conhece o Paulo... é a boa onda de sempre! Parabéns amigo! Agora, toca a comprar o Diário de Notícias ou o Jornal de Notícias do fim de semana!

Paulo Lopes is one of the portuguese kayaksurf pioneers. He belonged to the very first portuguese surfkayking team - MAR BRAVO - thanks to the great work of Jorge Lopes and Mega Surfkayaks. This weekend, one of the most read newspapers in Portugal (and his magazine), made an interesting article about radical sports. Paulo was interviewed about our sport, of course! He was also with us in the organization of the first Kayaksurf Sessions and now, above all, he still his a great friend of kayaksurf.net and a really passionate surfkayaker. Congratulations for the exposure Paulo!
